Origins and Apologetics Websites: A Directory

Summary

This page lists 1139 websites that argue about creation, evolution, the age of the earth, and the truth of Christianity — on every side.  Young-earth creationist sites are here, and so are the sites that exist to refute them.  Together they hold at least 1,644,847 articles that this page was able to count.

Most of these are small.  Large ministries are easy to find and already well known; the value of a directory is the one-person blog with forty posts that nobody links to, and a deliberate effort was made to include those.

Five things are worth saying before the table.

1. The position columns are quoted, not assigned, and most of them are empty.  A site is recorded as young-earth only where the site says so itself, and the link beside the value is the page that says it.  Where no such statement was found, the column reads “—”.  At this size that is most rows, and it is the honest state of the work rather than a claim that those sites have no position: small blogs mostly do not publish a statement of faith, and we would rather leave a cell blank than fill it from what a site sounds like.
2. The four position columns are independent, and they have to be.  BioLogos and Sandwalk agree that the earth is old and that common descent is true, and are opposites on everything else.  Reasons to Believe accepts an ancient earth and rejects macroevolution.  One “leaning” column could not describe any of them.
3. “Critic” means critic of the argument, not critic of Christianity.  A number of sites in that group — The GeoChristian, Old Earth Ministries, Naturalis Historia, Letters to Creationists — are written by evangelical Christians arguing against flood geology and a young earth.  Open a row and the theology column says so.  This is the clearest reason the axes are kept apart.
4. The size and status columns are measured, not claimed.  Article counts come from each site's own WordPress, MediaWiki or sitemap endpoint on 2026-08-31, and the method used is shown for every number.  Where no count could be obtained cheaply, the cell is empty rather than guessed.
5. The assessment column is ours and is labelled as ours.  It says what a site is good for and where it is weak.  It is a judgement, unlike everything to its left.

The search box below queries these sites together, through one of three commercial search engines.  This exists because searching them one at a time does not work: several of these sites have search boxes with demonstrably broken recall.
